I dont think theres any manager in the world wholl beat me in that respect.”De Gea is widely regarded as one of the best goalkeepers in the world, and he’s been considered the best for some of his Old Trafford career.Solskjaer believes he currently sits atop the rankings, following in the footsteps of two other legendary United glovesmen.“Its difficult to compare them,” Solskjaer continued, “but Edwin [van der Sar] and Peter [Schmeichel] were never Player of the Year.“Davids won so many points for us over the years and I would say hes the best goalkeeper in the world – Peter was at the time and Edwin at the time as well.“Im delighted with David and his personality is fantastic. He’s such a humble and confident boy.”United are currently in the midst of an injury crisis, and Solskjaer confirmed his squad for Saturday’s visit of Southampton will likely be similar to the one he selected for Wednesday’s defeat of Crystal Palace.There is some good news, however, with Marcus Rashford set to return and Anthony Martial perhaps available for selection.“Its the last session today but were not going to take any risks,” Solskjaer continued. “Maybe Anthony, but it might just be a few more days before hes ready.2
